I first learned about Silken Windhounds when I joined a Borzoi email list. I had never heard of such a breed and did an internet search for them. I found the International Silken Windhound Society and was immediatly intrigued with them. Their founder, Francie Stull Kristull Borzoi and Silken Windhounds, had a big vision for such a little hound. More can be read about them on the ISWS website.

I have never met a breed of hound that has captivated me like the Silkens have. I am yet to meet a Silken who is not extremely happy. That first visit to Gryffyn's Aeyrie was unforgettable. Not only did I get Oksana from them, but I came home with so many fond memories of the most beautiful little hounds! They did make a big impression on me, and I couldn't wait to bring home my first Silken. My patience was greatly rewarded with my kids, as all of them are huge grinners!
